DIMITRIS KATRITSIS
Dimitris is a geologist and a post graduate student in the Applied Environmental Geology course at the University of Athens. His MSc Thesis explores the environmental mobility and potential bioccessibility of heavy metals and metalloids in Athens soil by applying single extraction methods using chemical reagents of varying strength.

STAMATIS FLEMETAKIS
After completing his BSc dissertation in metamorphic petrology Stamatis jointed the MSc course "Applied Environmental Geology" of the Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment and is now investigating the Lithogeochemical character of near-surface bedrock in the Athens Basin in order to better identify the natural sources of contamination of urban soil.

VASO VARVAKI
Vaso holds a Geology and Geoenvironment First Degree from the University of Athens Greece. After completing her BSc dissertation studying heavy metals in road side sediments, she currently examines the geochemistry of urban household dust in Athens with respect to heavy metals, through her MSc Thesis under the course "Environmental Management- Mineral Resources".

NANCY KAZANTZOGLOU
Nancy is an MSc student in the Faculty of Geology and Geoenvironment, University of Athens. Her BSc dissertation focused on links between Athens soil geochemistry and heavy metal plant availability. She collected her data from urban allotments and municipal cultivated gardens and is now investigating risk factors of urban agriculture relevant to heavy metals in her MSc Thesis project.

FRANCESCA PARASKOS
Francesca is a geologist and currently an MSc student of Chemistry and Environmental Technology at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Athens. In her BSc dissertation she studied the hydrogeochemistry of Kifissos river which runs through the city of Athens.
