The number average molecular weight, weight average molecular weight, molecular weight distribution can all be obtained utilizing the WATERS GPC 2440 size exclusion chromatograph running in tetrahydrofuran. The WATERS GPC-2440 is equipped with a Refractive Index Detector 2440. Analysis with this instrument can be performed at room temperature. The column set installed in this instrument consists of the following four columns: WATERS; 7.5x300 mm; 10 µm; 10E2, 10E3, and 10E5 Å. The calibration range is ≈4000 to 650,000 daltons using either PS or PMMA standards.
