Research Fields of Interest

1. Synthesis of metal complexes bearing the cores ΜΕ 4 or ΜΕ 4 (sol) 2 , (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; E = O, S, Se, Te, sol = dmf, thf, dmso, py), as well as of Μ(II), M = Ni, Cu, mixed complexes with diimines and imidodiphospinato ligands. The aim of the work is to investigate the structural, electronic, magnetic and biological properties of these complexes and to correlate them with the structural features of the complexes.

2. Synthesis of complexes of Μ(Ι), Μ = Rh, Au; M(II), Μ = Ni, Pd, Pt, bearing diphosphines of the “PNP” type as ligands. These complexes are investigated as catalysts in hydroformylation, hydrogenation, polymerization and CC coupling reactions.
