Compounds that modulate immune responses: from design to chemical biology approaches

We are involved in rational-drug design efforts focused on the protein molecules we are currently investigating. We guide and support these efforts by providing structural and mechanistic insight as well as developing and performing customised in vitro and cell-based assays. A main focus of this efforts revolves around the development of small MW modulators of intracellular aminopeptidases that generate antigenic peptides (read this paper and this paper). We are using these tool molecules to investigate basic questions regarding the mechanism of action and biological role of aminopeptidases (read this paper).
