Dr. Demetrios D. Chronopoulos

Dr. Demetrios D. Chronopoulos was born in Kalamata, Greece. He holds a BSc in Chemistry (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and a MSc in Organic Chemistry (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). He obtained his PhD in 2014, under the supervision of Dr. Tagmatarchis at the Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute, National Hellenic Research Foundation. In 2016, he joined prof. Otyepka’s group at the Regional Centre of Advanced Technologies and Materials (RCPTM), in Olomouc, Czech Republic, working on an ERC grant focused to fluorographene chemistry. In 2023, he started his own research project at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as a holder of a grant funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Researcher and Innovation.

Personal Info: He has two children and loves playing with them. He likes travelling and he is a big fan of PAOK and Real Madrid.
