My doctoral thesis was supervised by Gary S. Becker, University Professor of Economics and Sociology, and 1992 Nobel Laureate in Economic Science (Chairman of the dissertation committee), Judge Richard A. Posner (Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit) and Mary E. Becker (then the Arnold I. Shure Professor of Law and currently Distinguished Research Professor of Law at DePaul University College of Law). The thesis is entitled "The Greek Divorce Law Reform of 1983 and Its Impact on Homemakers: A Social and Economic Analysis". Thematically, it falls under two related fields, sociology of family law and economic analysis of family law.
