Dr. Andreas Scorilas, Ph.D

Prof. Scorilas research team's interests include the discovery and study of novel cancer biomarkers in the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment monitoring of human malignancies, as well as the development of highly sensitive methodologies for the reliable quantification of ncRNAs, mRNA and protein expression of cancer related genes. He was the major investigator in the discovery and cloning of many cancer-related genes. He has established many active scientific partnerships in Greece, Canada, US and EU and has participated in numerous large-scale and demanding research grants.
