Panagiotis Christakopoulos received his Bachelor degree in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ioannina and his Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His major research interests relate to the development of nanomedicines featuring a surface marker for targeted drug delivery against cancer cells.



Varvara Athanasiou received her Bachelor degree in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Athens and her Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her major research interests relate to the development of responsive polypeptides based on poly-histidine for drug encapsulation, controlled drug release as well as gene delivery.


Foteini Arfara received her Bachelor degree in the Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her major research interests relate to the synthesis of polymers that have biological applications and can be used in drug delivery as drug carriers.


Dimitra Stavroulaki received her Bachelor degree in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Patras, her 1st Master’s degree in Applied Catalysis and her 2nd Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her major research interests relate to the synthesis of multi-responsive polypeptides based on poly-Histidine and poly-Cysteine for the encapsulation of anticancer drugs, for drug delivery applications.


Katerina Mathianaki received her Bachelor degree (2016) from the Department of Materials Science and Technology of the University of Crete. Now, her master research is focusing on dual responsive crosslinked polypeptides-based biohybrids for drug delivery applications."


Niki Roumelioti received her Bachelor degree in the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her major research interests relate to the development of well-defined stimuli responsive  polypeptides based on poly(phenylalanine) for controlled drug release as well as gene delivery.




Maria Kassimatis received her Bachelor degree in the Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her major research interests relate to the development of model stimuli responsive  polypeptides based on poly(sarkosine) and poly(tryptophane) for controlled drug  as well as gene delivery applications.




Diana Kazaryan received her bachelor degree in the department of chemistry of the University of Crete. Her major research interests relate to the synthesis of polymers with complex macromolecular architecture that can act as nanocarriers for drug delivery.
