The establishment of a Mediterranean Centre for Food Security and Sustainable Growth (MEDSEC) aspires (a) to create a network of researchers working on these issues exchanging experiences and (b) to provide sustainable policy and managerial advice and solutions on issues of food security with particular emphasis on public policy, value chains in agricultural and industrial production and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector.
