
Dimitris Bilianos
Dimitris Bilianos is a Computational Linguistics PhD Candidate at the Department of Italian Language and Literature in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and researcher at the Computational Stylistics Lab. He graduated from the Department of Philology at the University of Patras in 2014, and holds a Master's Degree in Linguistics from the same University (GPA 9.5/10).The focus of his PhD study, funded by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), is on Multilingual Sentiment Analysis in Social Media.
In 2017 he became a member of the Computational Stylistics Lab at the the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and as of 2021 he is a member and webmaster at the International Quantitative Linguistics Association, as well as Teaching Assistant at the Department of Italian Language and Literature in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is also Research Assistant in the "Forced Migration, Digital Technology and Health" Project, Budget: 526,600 QAR, Source of Funding: HBKU Thematic Research Grand Program 1st cycle-2021.
Until 2019, he was Technical Supervisor in the "In-service Training of Teachers in the utilisation and application of Digital Technologies in the teaching practice" (B-Level ICT Teacher Training) Project.
He publishes in international journals and actively participates in conferences in Sentiment Analysis, Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, Quantitative Linguistics, Computational Stylistics and Authorship Attribution. Detailed CV can be found here.
