Human bone marrow stromal cells contain skeletal stem cells (SSCs) capable of osteogenic, adipogenic, and chondrogenic differentiation, but their enrichment remains challenging due to the lack of a definitive SSC marker. We designed DNA-gold nanoparticles that target specific mRNA signatures to identify and sort SSCs. This technique enables significant SSC enrichment and offers promising applications in bone biology and regenerative medicine.
