I am member of teaching staff of Laboratory of Inorganic Chemistry at Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece.
I conduct chemistry education research focusing on affective, conceptual, epistemic, and social domains of learning chemistry, and with a special interest in reasoning of chemistry students. My colleagues and I are involved in developing new ways of conceptualization of teaching chemistry. In this context, we have developed educational tools that engage students in inquiry activities. We furthermore study the chemical representations included in school textbooks and used by students in an effort to understand their role in learning. We also develop, validate and complement existing assessment tools. Please explore this site to learn more about our background and work.
