Polymer Composites- Solgel- Organic Dyes
Raman spectroscopy reveals that the chains of PMMA polymerised in the
pores of gel silica glasses form hydrogen bonds with the pore surface silanol
groups.
Differential Scanning Calorimetry confirms the observation seen by an
increase of the glass transition temperature.
The effects of organic dyes on the dynamics of chain relaxations are further
observed by thermally stimulated currents.
These composites are used to create advanced solid state dye lasers.
