A variety of natural processes can be described according to the model of a binary Markovian process. Examples are the quantum Zeno effect or the records of handedness in groups of nonhuman troglodytes. Through the application of the Markovian model our understanding of the process and the evolution of its records is thus enriched. F. Pallikari, N.
